CES 2025’s Wackiest Gadgets: The Future Is Weird (And We Love It!)

CES 2025 came and went by, leaving us with both a wishlist and a sore jaw from all the weirdness they managed to cram in yet again. You kinda expect to see futuristic cars and anything AI-related but the following gadgets are something else, believe us, the weirdest things at CES 2025 really stood out.

1. Mirumi, the shy furry robot

weirdest things at CES 2025: Mirumi

Developed by Yukai Engineering, Mirumi is a small, furry robot designed to attach to your bag or purse. It mimics shy behavior by turning its head away or burying its face when approached, so you never run out of conversation topics.

2. Swippitt toaster-inspired phone charger

Guys, you get a fully charged battery in SECONDS! Users insert their phone into the slot, and the device does its job, charging the battery in mere seconds, eliminating the need for cords or wireless charging pads. This system requires Swippitt’s Link phone case, which includes a 3,500 mAh battery. We’re kinda giddy for this one!

3. LG’s indoor gardening side table

If you’re working on bringing more green to your indoor retreat, LG presented a device that does that for you. It waters the plants, it has a built-in lamp and speakers. This is a new take on a model they’ve launched last year so you just have to pick the one that fits your decor best.

4. SwitchBot modular robot

This is now your usual vacuuming robot. SwitchBot unveiled a modular robot capable of performing multiple household chores. Built on the company’s mini robot vacuum, you can pile stuff on it to make it better suit your needs. It can be equipped with various modules, including an air purifier, fan, and security camera, all you might ever need to keep your house tidy and secure.

5. Character Livehouse anime girls

This is a capsule containing 3D models of dancing anime characters that use AI to interact with users. The capsule features a 1200p display, cameras, and microphones with sound recognition, making for a very cool experience. Teach it new emotions, personalize it however you please, you basically get your very own gen-z tamagotchi. It is expected to be part of a Kickstarter campaign, with the price being $400 to $500. Any takers?

6. Kirin Electric Salt Spoon

Kirin introduced an electric salt spoon that uses tiny electrical pulses to enhance the salty taste of food without adding actual salt. We see this as a great add-on for those who are forced to cut down on their salt intake. Have you tried drastically reducing the salt you use when cooking? The food tastes like freakin’ cardboard… The spoon’s handle offers four settings for different “saltiness” levels and in even better news, it’s available for purchase right now.

7. Tombot Jennie

You get a puppy that stays a puppy without actually having to deal with all the responsibilities of having a pet? And we’re not talking about being lazy. Elderly people, those recovering from a trauma, and the list goes on. This cutie checks all the boxes and while it was designed with dementia patients in mind, it can work for almost everyone.

8. Wearable solar panel

Anker is really aiming high with this one. It features LED light strips and perovskite solar cells on what looks like the coolest cloak ever. Solix Solar Cloak is compatible with the C300 DC portable power bank and it also keeps you warm. They’ve also presented a solar umbrella that simplifies charging your devices on the beach or on a camping trip.

9. Nékojita FuFu gimmick

Having to constantly check if the tea has cooled enough for you to drink it might prove quite a bit of a time waster, at least for some people. This is where this cool Japanese gadget can come and save the day: perch it on the rim of the mug and it will blow air to cool your drink. 8 blowing modes for $25 but you can only buy it in Japan.

10. BirdBuddy’s Wonder camera

This is rather niche and if you don’t like bugs and critters, just skip to the next one. This is a camera that kinda emulates a flower, thus making it less intrusive, so you can have a livestream of ongoing bugs whenever you feel like taking a gander. Your very own nature show with the help of a gadget that’s also solar-powered.

11. Mixed Reality Makeup from Kosé

Ces 2025

A live makeup try-on? Thanks to Kosé’s high-speed projection mapping technology, this is very much possible. You won’t get the insane precision that an experienced makeup artist will deliver but you still get to see if that new shade of lipstick does you any favors or if you should stick to your regular shade.
